What is your favorite part of the Christmas season? Is it decorating the tree, receiving and giving gifts, seeing family and friends, Christmas Eve parties, or baking Christmas cookies? We all have our favorite Christmas traditions and with every holiday tradition comes food!

The holidays are a time to indulge, but let’s make some treats that are both sweet and healthy! Here are some of the recipes we have tried with added CBD and loved!

Recipe for the best CBD Keto hot chocolate

What is better than lighting the fire, cuddling up on the couch with a big, fuzzy blanket, and watching movies on a snowy day. Hot chocolate is also a necessity on snow days! What better way to relax than to infuse your hot chocolate with some CBD oil? Below is an easy recipe for homemade CBD hot chocolate or for easier make, you can use packaged hot chocolate with boiling water and a few drops of CBD oil at your own discretion.

Recipe:
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
1-2 tablespoons of sweetener (stevia, cane sugar, etc)
¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of Lily’s dark chocolate chips
1 pinch of salt
1 ml of Calm & Chill CBD tincture
Top with Cool Whip or cinnamon

Instructions:
Put milk, cocoa/cacao powder, and sugar in a saucepan.
Put on the stove at medium to low heat.
Frequently whisk (don’t get to boil)
When warm, add chocolate chips and whisk until they are fully melted
Turn stove off and add vanilla extract and CBD oil and stir
Let it cool, pour it into a coffee mug and enjoy

 

Recipe for CBD Paleo Gingerbread Cookies

Recipe:
1 egg
2 cups of almond flour
½ cup of coconut sugar or stevia
½ teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon allspice
3 tablespoons of molasses or maple syrup
2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
Pinch of salt
2 ml or two droppers full (or at your discretion) of OG CBD tincture

Instructions:
Add dry ingredients in a food processor and mix
Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix until dough is formed
Move dough into a bowl and Wrap in plastic
Place bowl in fridge for half an hour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Use parchment paper on baking sheet and separate dough into small spoonful sections on baking sheet (or roll out dough and make festive shapes)
Bake for 10-12 minutes and then let cool for about 5 minutes.


 

Recipe for CBD Peppermint Bark

Recipe:

For chocolate bottom
6 oz. dark chocolate chopped or ¾ cup of dark chocolate chips
OR
½ cup melted coconut oil
½ cup cocoa or cacao powder
4 tablespoons of maple syrup

For white chocolate/peppermint top
4 oz. of raw Cacao butter or white chocolate chopped
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon cashew butter
⅓ cup maple syrup
Pinch of salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of peppermint extract
2 ml of OG CBD tincture or at your discretion

Instructions:
Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave until smooth and melted. Stir between 30-second increments.
Put parchment paper on a baking pan and fill the bottom of the pan with melted dark chocolate. Make sure the layer is smooth and put in the freezer to set.
While dark chocolate is in the freezer start making the white chocolate mixture. Place coconut oil and cacao butter in a heat safe bowl and create a make-shift double boiler, stirring occasionally.
Once this mixture is melted add cashew butter, still over simmering water.
After cashew butter is mixed in add maple syrup, salt, and vanilla extract and stir.
Remove bowl from the pot and add the CBD and stir, then leave to cool for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes add the peppermint extract and stir.
Take the dark chocolate out of the freezer and layer the white chocolate on top and make sure it’s a smooth, even layer.
If you would like add crushed peppermint candies, dried fruit, or cacao nibs to the top.
Keep in the freezer
