What is the strongest and most potent form of CBD?

Have you ever wondered what the strongest – most potent form of CBD is? If you need to ensure that you are getting the most potency for the dollar, read on!

First off, some info.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a chemical compound, one of several cannabinoids present in the Cannabis sativa, or hemp plant.

CBD Oil Strength, what’s the deal?

CBD oil products vary in strength from mild to extra-strong. From a consumer’s perspective, potency is one of the most important things to consider when purchasing a CBD oil.

As a retailer, you should consider the following:

  • 500 to 750 milligrams of CBD per 30-milliliter bottle is regarded as average strength.
  • 1,000 to 1,500 milligrams per 30-milliliter bottle is “strong.”.
  • 2,000+ milligrams range of CBD per 30 milliliter bottle is “extra-strength”.

It’s not just the CBD concentration that makes a tincture strong; you should also consider the type of hemp extract used to create the product (i.e., full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate) may also play a factor.

Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum vs. Isolate

Full-spectrum CBD oil is made with whole-plant extract. Nothing is removed or added, so it’s natural. Full-spectrum is the least manipulated type of CBD. It maintains a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes, resulting in the desirable entourage effect, in which all of the compounds work together to provide the most significant benefits a CBD oil can provide.

Broad-spectrum CBD oil receives more processing than full-spectrum. Traceable amounts of THC do remain. Broad-spectrum products still maintain a broad range of cannabinoids and terpenes to enhance the formula and benefits.

CBD isolate is pure CBD. There are no other plant constituents in the product. Isolate contains zero THC, which is an excellent option for anyone concerned with passing a drug test.

CBD Oil: What is it?

CBD oil is most commonly sold as a tincture. CBD oil is a liquid product that consists of the cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) infused in a carrier oil. Carrier oils are typically medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) such as coconut oil, that are easy to digest. They can provide additional health benefits. Extra virgin olive oil, grapeseed oil, and cold-pressed hemp seed oil can also be used as carrier oils.

CBD oils can contain other cannabinoids such as THC and plant compounds, including terpenes, flavonoids, and other phytonutrients. The carrier oil can also add other ingredients to the oil, primarily derived from hemp or cannabis. Finally, some manufacturers might include aromatic ingredients such as essential oils in their finished products.
